The Everett Council was organized and chartered on December 18, 1969. We currently have approximately 250 members from all over the local community. While many members have served in the military, service in the military is not a qualification for becoming a Navy Leaguer. The objective and purpose of the Navy League is to educate and motivate the American people to support our maritime capabilities, services and personnel. To this end, members are kept informed by our council newsletter which is printed every other month and the national magazine "Sea Power" which is issued each month.
Our Council Officers and Directors of the Board meet each month (except August) on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00pm (1800 hrs.) at Naval Station Everett.
Membership provides an opportunity to participate in numerous events involving the Navy such as ship rides and tours. The Everett Council also has two main banquets each year: the Navy Ball and an annual Sailor of the Year awards presentation banquet. Other events also occur during the year that brings Navy Leaguers together. We welcome all who wish to join.
