The Thanksgiving basket program this year was a great success as we were able to provide more baskets than we had in the past years. In fact with the hard work, community support and donations enabled us to provide Thanksgiving Baskets to over 257 Navy families. All the Ships stationed at Naval Station Everett including the Naval Station Everett Commands received baskets for the sailors who needed a little augmentation this year.
The Navy League provided over $7,000.00 in hams donated by Farm Land and turkeys donated from a food drive held by the Commissary at Smokey Point. The baskets include all the fixings for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.
A huge Thank You goes out to... The Tulalip Tribe, Farmland, Costco, Amici Bistro, the Smokey Point Commissary, Navy Wives Club, USS Abe Lincoln Officers Association, Chief Petty Officer's Association from the USS Abraham Lincoln and all of the other supporters, volunteers and contributors who made this possible .
