Several U.S. Naval and U.S. Coast Guard ships take part in SeaFair each year. In 2007, the USS Cleveland, USS Rentz, USS Bunker Hill and USCG Steadfast arrived at Everett Naval Station on July 30th. On July 31st, several members of the Everett Council had the privilege of spending the day with the men and women on the USS Cleveland as the ship traveled from Everett to Seattle. The morning started off when Council President Kathy Gambill presented a Bernie Webber original print to the Commanding Officer, Captain Frank McCulloch. Along the way, we had the opportunity to tour the ship, eat in the galley alongside the crew and to spend an enjoyable day speaking with crew members at all levels. Several members of the Everett Council also had the opportunity to witness a promotion ceremony and Council President Kathy Gambill was invited by the Commodore to participate in pinning the new Lieutenant Commander.
